This IEEE website is useful when checking references, because it has details for IEEE conference proceedings as well as IEEE journals. Recommended reference:
I have mentioned the Library of Congress Catalog before, but they have updated it. http://catalog2.loc.gov/ http://catalog.loc.gov/
For correct presentation of references, sometimes I have to hunt down the correct details. The Library of Congress Catalog holds information on a great many books and other published matter, and can come up trumps where other sources fail. www.amazon.co.uk
(or whatever variation you need for your country) If you want to see inside a book, it is not always necessary to possess the book or visit a library. amazon has a 'look inside' feature for many books, which makes it easy to check tables of contents, publication details, or the exact text of quotations. (Warning; how much it lets you see depends on how much you buy off amazon. xplore.bl.uk/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?dscnt=1&fromLogin=true&dstmp=1360064049741&vid=BLVU1&mode=Advanced&fromLogin=true
If you need to check up full publication details for a book, this is useful. Sometimes, there is also other helpful information, such as a table of contents. |
